I’m very happy to continue with the series of posts about our Berlin Yoga Conference Festival Program entitled “Berlin Yoga Conference Presents”, with this post dedicated to a very special body-mind awareness and movement teacher Anja Kursawe.

Some background information first.

When I first planned the program for the Berlin Yoga Conference, I invited teachers exclusively from out of town. My idea for this was the following: Berliners already had access to these amazing Berlin teachers, so why not bring the teachers from other cities and countries then? Furthermore, I even set a specific ration of national (German) VS international (from outside of Germany and Europe) teachers to be 50/50, which is still very much the case.

However, with time I realized that my thinking was not wholistic. Since I wanted this to become an international yoga event that reflects on the local yoga community, I needed to get the Berlin teachers on board, to give them a chance to present themselves to an international audience and to get them involved in this major Berlin yoga happening. This is how the idea for the Berlin Yoga Conference Festival Program was born.

Workshops at the Berlin Yoga Conference

Anja Kursawe will be teaching the following class at the Berlin Yoga Conference May 24-26:

Inner Peace, Outer Grace | 9:45-11:15 | Sunday, 26.05

There will be a series of mindful flowing sequences of postures that are breath-synchronised, aiding detoxification and purification of the body, and allowing one to stay in the present moment, moving with intention to connect with the breath and honouring the Self. Expect to re-evaluate your alignment, experience stillness and activity as a mirror for everyday life. The approach is one that places great importance on the breath, inner and outer Flow in the body and the mind, and healthy alignment.

Anja developed a strong interest in exploring the connection with oneself and others, leading her session in such a way that the participants can take the journey to their inner self, being reminding that yoga is an inward practice to get in contact with one self, and later with others.

You will leave the class deeply connected, feeling energised and relaxed at the same time, that will be an experience of its own.
