Some background information first.

When I first planned the program for the Berlin Yoga Conference, I invited teachers exclusively from out of town. My idea for this was the following: Berliners already had access to these amazing Berlin teachers, so why not bring the teachers from other cities and countries then? Furthermore, I even set a specific ration of national (German) VS international (from outside of Germany and Europe) teachers to be 50/50, which is still very much the case.

However, with time I realized that my thinking was not wholistic. Since I wanted this to become an international yoga event that reflects on the local yoga community, I needed to get the Berlin teachers on board, to give them a chance to present themselves to an international audience and to get them involved in this major Berlin yoga happening. This is how the idea for the Berlin Yoga Conference Festival Program was born.

KAYA RENZ | Runbase Berlin Trainer

Kaya started her athletic career as an eight-year-old girl in Berlin with a ballet training. Yet, only in her mid-twenties did she turn her hobby into a job and started working as a personal trainer. Now she has been a coach at the adidas Runbase Berlin for three years and enjoys every day there to the fullest. She teaches HIT Trainings, Animal & Movement Courses and TRX Workouts. In addition, she is a sports model and influencer, combining all of her talents into currently creating her own YouTube Channel.

From Kaya: “Sport and Movement have been a part of my whole life. Wether it is yoga, fitness, running, or dance. Movement makes me happy, fit, and balanced, it helps me through the hard times and strengthens my focus and the outlook on life”.

Workshops at the Berlin Yoga Conference

Kaya will be teaching the following class at the Berlin Yoga Conference May 24-26:

Stretch & Flow | 15:15-16:30 | Saturday, 25.05

Here you can first expect some functional stabilization exercises to strengthen the middle of the body. Afterwards, we work together through a mobility training routine to stretch and relax the muscles, with a final relaxation at the end.
